Why We Built This Site
Alabama records do not sit in one universal file. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office keeps its reports and booking material. The Monroe Circuit Clerk maintains Circuit and District Court charges, dockets, judgments, and warrants. ALEA CJIS holds fingerprint-supported Alabama criminal history, while ADOC covers current state-prison custody and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry publishes the subset authorized by state law. We arrange verified contacts, official portals, known fees, and request steps around the record each office actually holds.
What You Will Find Here
- Official routes: the Monroe County office or Alabama system responsible for each record
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read
- Self-review steps: fingerprint-based access to one's own Alabama history through ALEA
- Record relief: Alabama expungement sources and the Monroe Circuit Court filing point
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of an Alabama court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not issue certified records, court papers, or criminal histories
- We cannot submit an expungement petition or public-records request for a visitor
- We do not perform an official background check for any person
- We cannot apply Alabama law to an individual charge or give legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's hours, fees, or contact details never change
An official copy must come from the Monroe County custodian or ALEA. This resource can identify the office, but it cannot create or certify the record.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. They operate independently, choose their own prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operation. We do not set the provider's charges or decide which records it returns.
